Back stroke, butterfly, nipples, breasts, front crawl and bras, we are awash in an ocean of bubbles. Meanwhile Captain Ahab sets sail on his magic carpet in search of the whale. All is not well in the world but Eden is there, fresh from her garden, tuning into The Far Away Land. We are deep in the cloud of our own making but help is at hand, and everything might yet be alright.
Perhaps best read within the tradition of Surrealist cut ups and collage, IN FAR AWAY LAND sees another compelling collaboration between Andrew & Eden Kötting with Glenn Whiting. They bring to life the collages, drawings and paintings produced in 2019 by Eden in response to the feature film The Whale Bone Box, which she stars in and which will be distributed across the UK and Ireland in early 2020.
It will also mark 25 years since the making of the classic father, daughter, grandmother, great grandmother road movie GALLIVANT, which is consistently voted within the top 100 Best British Films of all time. Eden is no longer seven, she will be thirty two in 2020 and fairly full to overflowing with artistic ambition.
