Installation – CD and Bookwork

A two screen looping video projection. On one screen a panoramic view of Shanghai shot from my flat in Brilliant City as a large storm builds and on the other, close up footage of people’s apartments at night time.

All shot from the 34th floor of my flat and reminiscent in part of Alfred Hitchcock’s Rear Window. The sound filling the Installation is taken from “ field’” Dictaphone recordings which were gleaned whilst cycling the 8 points of a compass using the flat as starting point and ending after 8 hours of pedalling.
