Tape slide installation – b/w Scala slide film

Documentation of a two day and one night performance work, which took place in the new forest. Deprived of food and existing mainly on Kendal mint cake I set about communing with the trees. Leila McMillan took the photographs and puts in an appearance. She was pregnant at the time with Eden.

The title of the work eventually became the title of the show, which I presented at The Slade as my graduation piece. It included the projection of two short films; HububintheBaobabs and Self Heal. The tape slide was projected inside a shack that I had built and called Hoteli Big Jack.

The soundtrack comprises mainly of a series of cut up folk songs that were released on a SAYDISC album called ‘Cotswold Characters’.
