KLIPPERTY KLöPP
DIALOGUE
Klipperty klopp.
Klipperty klopp.
It takes me right back to when things are a lot clearer now.
Foggy wasn’t the word it,
It was well muggy.
Exceedingly unpleasant.
See I remember he said ;
He said, this my son is a sun
A prehistoric sun.
And this my son is a sign and it was round here, round here, that it all began.
All round here.
It takes me right back.
Something better come of this.
Something better come of this.
I remember him saying follow me to end if the earth,
Follow me to the end of the earth.
It had taken him so long to prepare,
Hours and hours of preparation.
It was a myth.
It was a folklore.
I recollect that he came out of the place where he was and he arrived at another.
I remember he’d go Klipperty klopp, Klipperty klopp. Klipperty klopp.
He used to take his horse with him everywhere.
He’d said that he’d been scarred for life but I mean, who was I to believe him?
Who was I?
And it was clear and foggy wasn’t the word for it,
And it was sunny,
Such sunnyness in the sky.
Such brightness.
That it was overpowering.
And he used to make most peculiar noises.
And then he said to me :
I’m going to take you to a place that you have not been before.
Take you to a place that you have not been before.
I remember his word most distinctly.
Most clearly.
Most enjoyably.
Then out of the blue as if from nowhere he would appear,
Bringing his confounded little games with him.
Out of the blue, as if from nowhere.
Things used to get well and truly out of hand by jove they did.
They got well out of hand.
Then all of a sudden, here he goes, here he goes,
He’d just sort of launch himself off.
Just plunge tit over arse.
Such wild such fierce lunging.
But always landing in the same place.
And if that wasn’t enough he’d go :
Here what you doing on top of me?
Get off me, what are you doing?
What are you doing on top of me?
He’d say.
And then he’d just turn round,
As if that wasn’t enough and go back for more.
I remember he scrambled up again making sure to not make a mess of himself,
Then with such savageness he’d lunge again.
He’d lunge.
Whoops a daisy.
Whoops a daisy.
Such uncaring behaviour.
And then, and then I remember he said, he said :
Let’s tango baby.
Let’s tango.
And he’d take that horse of his everywhere.
I remember.
I remember.
I remember that he’d go everywhere as well.
And I remember, I remember, I don’t remember much at all,
In fact I’m one of these people that remembers very little and he’d get to his feet
and he’d go: Klipperty klopp, Klipperty klopp, Klipperty klopp, out with your cock,
Klipperty klopp.
And he’d go straight back inside from where he’d come and he’d hide.
I remember he was in one of those queer moods right, one of those queer moods.
Sings :
He made such a
Such a terrible mess of the ground
He made such a terrible mess of the ground
Because he’d run round and round in circles
Hed run round and round all the time
And he wrecked the grass,
And he mad a terrible mess of himself.
He made a terrible mess of himself.
Sings :
Klipperty klopp, Klipperty klopp, Klipperty klopp
And he’d go : let your backbone slip baby.
Such malicious damage, such disrespect, no respect whatsoever.
No respect at all.
And I recall,
He used to get well and truly tired.
He’d get absolutely fatigued.
He’d take that horse of his everywhere, and if he wasn’t chasing it he’d be following it, and if it weren’t following him he’d be chasing it.
Klipperty klopp
And then as if that wasn’t enough, as if that wasn’t
enough, he went back to start all over again, he had to start all over
again.
And I remember he loved the sound of breaking wind.
Such blinding lights, and I remember, I remember, I
don’t remember that much, I remember he’d take that horse of his
everywhere, he’d even carry it on his back to the ends of the earth,
something would come of this right? Rain, there’s a dense fog, ferocious
elements, savage, deplorable, he kept going, he just kept on going,
press on my son, press on my son, press on they’d shout, press on.
They’d shout press on my son, press on, press on my son press on, such savage elements, such ferociousness but he’d press on nevertheless.
And of course somebody had been before him, somebody had come before, I remember stone circles and lord knows he was upset, he was well and truly upset, I remember he was shattered, he was exhausted, he was exhausted, but goodness knows he loved to dance, he loved to dance.
And he’d take that confounded horse of his everywhere, absolutely everywhere right , he just had to dance.
Klipperty klopp,
Klipperty klopp
Klipperty klopp
Klipperty klopp
Klipperty klopp
Klipperty klopp
Klipperty klopp
Klipperty klopp
And his time had come, his time was over, his time was absolutely over, his time was finished.
And he said to me remember my son this is a sign,
And this my son is the sun,
It’s the sun, the sun my son, he said, it’s the sun my son he said,
And he loved to dance.
And he loved to dance, and he took that horse of his
everywhere, he took it with him everywhere, the sun he said my
son, the sun,
le soleil!
le soleil!
le soleil!
le soleil!
le soleil!
le soleil!
And he took that horse of his everywhere,
And he loved to dance,
He only came to dance,
He only came to dance.
He said I’m just having one of those queer moods.
Just one of those queer moods.
